Laonei for Android
Last updated 9 September 2026
Android 6 and above. No account, no store, nothing to sign up for. If you would rather not install anything at all, the web version does the same job in your browser.
On an iPhone? Get Laonei from the App Store — it is the same app, and it installs the ordinary way.
Your phone will warn you. That is normal.
Because this is not coming from a store, Android asks permission before it will install a file from a browser — usually once, the first time. What you see depends on the phone, but it is one of these:
- Tap the downloaded file, then Settings when it offers them.
- Turn on Allow from this source for your browser, then go back.
- If it says Install anyway or Install without scanning, that is the same question asked differently.
You can turn that permission back off afterwards. It applies to the browser, not to Laonei.
“App blocked to protect your device”
Google Play Protect shows this for any app it has not seen before, and it has not seen this one — the key that signs Laonei was made this week, so it has no reputation yet. It is a warning about our newness, not a finding about the app.
- Tap More details — small grey text under the message, and easy to miss.
- Then Install anyway.
If you would rather not, that is a perfectly reasonable answer to a warning from your phone. The web version needs no install at all and does the same job.
This goes away by itself once enough people have installed it, and goes away completely when it is on Google Play — which is coming, and is a separate wait.
Checking you got the real thing
Every genuine copy is signed with the same key, and its fingerprint is below. If a phone ever refuses an update saying the signature does not match, the copy you are updating from did not come from us.

Why it is not on Google Play
Play does not operate in mainland China, which is where this app is for. It will go on Play as well, for people installing before they arrive — but a store nobody there can open is not a way of reaching them.
